Finally! Seems a little late to still be talking about Black Friday, but my orders just came in. Totally not my fault.
First up is Pretty&Cute, a company that specializes in Korean and Japanese beauty products. They had a killer sale that weekend, and I was totally stoked about placing my order. I heard great things about their customer service, so I thought everything was going to be a breeze. Boy, was I in for a surprise.
!!! WARNING: RANT AHEAD !!!
Turns out, they received a massive amounts of orders, and everything was delayed. Totally understandable in my book. So, a week went by. I get an e-mail saying one of the products in my order was sold out. I was a bit irked and taken aback that they had a poor inventory program, but yes, that was understandable too, due to the ridiculousness that is Black Friday. They offered a replacement with an item of equal value or a refund; I opted for the replacement, so I promptly sent in my response. Another week passes. Nothing. Mind you, this is a company that is praised for fast, quality service.
I send in an inquiry about my order via their website’s form. Waited a couple hours, then requested a phone number on their company’s Facebook page (they didn’t have one listed on their website.) Finally got in touch with a rep on the phone, and after a frustrating half hour of enduring the guy whispering to himself and running around finding lost items, I got everything sorted out. My order actually had another item that was out of stock, so I had to fix that issue too. Jeez!
If I didn’t bother to call, I seriously think that it would have taken them another couple of weeks to ship my package. I was one of the people that ordered straight up on Black Friday, yet there were people that ordered on Cyber Monday in the east coast that got their shipment in a few days. Since my order had an “issue,” they placed it on indefinite hold and just focused on finishing other easier orders. Yeah, I can see how they were rushing to ship out orders since they had so many, but the fact that my order was neglected made me feel disappointed.
When the package finally came in, I wish I could say I was ecstatic, but that whole experience was such a downer … However, I have to admit that the products are really nice. Here’s the loot:
Inside those boxes are false eyelashes. Yes, my friends — BAJILLIONZ of them! I perform Thai classical dance really often, and we’re always required to pack on some pretty bold stage makeup. False eyelashes are key when it comes to dramatic eyes! And these were soooooo cheap and pretty. No more $5 lashes at the drugstore! Totally over that.

- Lioele Active Therapy Ampoule (Moisturizing)
- Lioele Water Drop BB Cream
- Pretty&Cute Foundation Brush
- Sample: Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream
- Sample: Lioele Aroma Washable Cleansing Lotion
- Sample: Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm
Could you tell that they had a Lioele sale? I’ve never used anything from that brand, but I was really interested in checking out gel eyeliner (I only have experience with cream, pencil and liquid) and new BB creams! I received the brush for free by using code “frmheadtotoe” thanks to the website of the same name. I’ll try to review these pretty items in further detail later.
The second box I received today was from Missha, a popular Korean cosmetics company. I was hoping to find a good deal on their M Perfect Cover BB Cream, and although they did have an AMAZING deal, they were out of my shade. Gah! So I got their darkest shade instead. I’ve been looking for a product to mix with my Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream in Sheer Silky, which is waaaay too light for my skin. I’ll let you know how it goes!
You’ll notice the BB Cream isn’t the only thing I bought … yes, I’m guilty. Everything was 40% off, so I couldn’t resist.

I wonder why they would give me samples of items that I already have in my order. I shouldn’t complain about free stuff, though!
Might seem like a lot of stuff, but nope, this isn’t the end of my Black Friday haul. More to come!
